Producer and rapper Soopafly is about to make his move to the forefront again with his upcoming album “Best Kept Secret” coming out tomorrow, August 30th. The 18-track album will contain features from the likes of Dam-Funk, Terrace Martin, Kurupt, Daz Dillinger, Bad Lucc, Damani, Kokane, and more.

Having been signed to Death Row Records before, Soopafly is known mostly as one of the original members of the Dogg Pound crew with Hip Hop legend Snoop Dogg, Daz Dillinger, and Kurupt. Since then, Soopafly has been touring with Snoop as his hype-man for the last 15 years, and has also produced and been featured on most of Snoop’s projects.

E-A-Ski – “Please” Deluxe

Veteran Oakland producer and rapper E-A-Ski is making his return to the front stage with the upcoming release of his 4-track deluxe EP “Please” on August 23rd. In the 1990s, E-A-Ski signed to Master P’s No Limit Records, and throughout the course of his career, he has collaborated with the likes of Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, Ice-T, Master P, E-40, Too $hort, Messy Marv, and many more. His newest single “Please” has features veteran Ice Cube and has garnered over 500,000 views since its June release on both YouTube and VEVO.

Los Rakas, known for their pan-American flows, are gearing to release their “Chancletas Y Camisetas Bordada” EP on August 23rd. The two cousins, Raka Dun and Raka Rich, grew up in Panama before spending their teens in Oakland, which clearly reflects in their “Panabay” sound. Meshing together the sound of reggae classics and the Bay Area’s idiosyncratic hip-hop scene, Los Rakas merge familiar dancehall melodies with a lyricism all their own.

The 8-song EP “Chancletas Y Camisetas Bordada” will feature production from international tropical bass producer Chief Boima, the Bay- Area’s Hawk Beatz, :::i.ameni:::The Beat Man and Los Angeles’ Party Animals. The project will also include their single “Ta Lista“.

Project Blowed recording artists Born Allah (aka Sweet Daddy Grace) and Panama Redd (aka Deacon Dwindle Duckets) join together to form what’s known as the Tabernacle MCz. The L.A. based Hip Hop duo are gearing to release their album, “B-Boy Prophecies: The Book of Him-othy” on August 23rd, with the project spearheaded by West Coast Hip Hop figure Badru Umi.

The “B-Boy Prophecies: The Book of Him-othy” will feature 20 songs, including “Father and Son,” “West West” and “Communion Wine.” To assist the rap duo in their mission to enhance Hip Hop and collect tithes worldwide, they’ve enlisted a few well-respected vets, like Lord Jamar (of Brand Nubian), Shafiq (of Sa-Ra Creative Partners) and Thayod Ausar on the production side. Young Dro – “Drocabulary”

T.I.’s Grand Hustle artist Young Dro makes his return to the music scene with his latest mixtape “Drocabulary” hosted by DJ Smalls, a premier southern mixtape DJ. Currently, Dro is working on his official sophomore album “P.O.L.O. (Players Only Live Once)” which is set to be released later this year. The Atlanta rapper looks to follow-up with the success of his 2006 debut album “Best Thang Smokin” which reached #3 on the Billboard 200 and #1 on both the U.S. R&B and U.S. Rap charts.

Median – “The Sender”

Having appeared on both Foreign Exchange and Little Brother’s albums, Median is best known for his 2007 debut album “Median’s Relief.” Now the emcee is back to release his sophomore attempt “The Sender” on August 16th, as he reconnects with longtime Justus League collaborators Phonte and 9th Wonder. The album features production from 9th Wonder (who also executive produced the project), S1 (Kanye West, Beyonce), Khrysis and Kev Brown; and guest appearances include Phonte, YahZarah and Bahamadia.

Oakland spitter Richie Rich is making his return with the release of “Town Bidness Vol. 2″ on August 16th. Serving as a follow-up to the 2010 project, “Town Bidness Vol. 2″ will feature Lil Jon, Mannie Fresh, Devin The Dude, J Stalin, Shady Nate and Dyson. San Francisco rapper Furious is making his return to the music scene with the release of his newest EP, entitled “Movie Life,” with the support of EMPIRE Distribution. J Boog – “Sunshine Girl” Single

Reggae singer J Boog is preparing for the release of his forthcoming album “Back Yard Boogie” with the release of his newest single “Sunshine Girl”. Dropping on September 20th, the album will include features from reggae giants Richie Spice, Tarrus Riley, Fiji and Morgan Heritage, along with Hip-Hop superstar Snoop Dogg.
